Parent Support Program

Functions

The Parent Support Program provides education and other resources for all Greene County parents, as well as those being served by various local agencies (Women's Recovery Center, Job and Family Services, etc.).  Information and referrals to other programs is also provided.

Our FREE class - Active Parenting Now! - offers comprehensive parenting advice for parents with children of all ages and covers a variety of important topics including communication skills, effective discipline, problem solving, encouragement, and tactics for discussing tough topics with our kids such as drugs, sexuality, and violence.

This is a six session program that serves all Greene County residents, and fulfills most court ordered requirements for parent education.  Classes alternate between Xenia and Fairborn locations every six weeks.  Attendance is mandatory to receive a graduation certificate upon completion.

Our next class begins August 31st and goes through October 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The location is Family & Children First Conference Room, 158 E. Main Street in Xenia.
