Regarding Absentee Voting
As of January 27, 2006, per
H.B. 234, Ohio voters are no longer required to
state a reason in order to vote absentee.
However, voters applying for an absentee ballot
must provide either their Ohio Driver’s License
number or the last 4 digits of their social
security number in order to receive a ballot.
Absentee
voter requests must be mailed, as Ohio law does
not permit the faxing of ballot requests. To
request a ballot, voters may download a
form to fill out or may write a letter which
includes:
