Judge
J. Timothy Campbell received his Bachelor of Science Degree from
Xavier University and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the
University of Cincinnati College of Law.
He practiced law for 37
years; served as an Assistant Greene County Prosecuting
Attorney; Acting Judge in the Xenia Municipal Court; an
arbitrator for the Greene County Common Pleas Court;
Commissioner of the Greene County Park District; Board Member of
Greene County Children Services Board and other educational and
service boards.
He has been an
instructor for professional education sponsors and is a faculty
member of the RETS College and was an
Adjunct Faculty Member in Business Law for Wilmington College.
He has also authored and published many articles and
educational publications.
As a practicing
attorney, he was admitted to all Ohio State Courts and the
Federal District Court for the Southern District of Ohio,
Western Division; the United States Sixth Circuit Court of
Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
He has served as past President of the Greene County Bar
Association and is a member of the American Bar Association;
Ohio State Bar Association; Greene County Bar Association; The
Federalist Society; the American Judges Association; the Ohio
Judicial Conference and the Ohio Common Pleas Judges
Association.
In September 2002, he
was appointed by the Governor of Ohio to the Greene County
Common Pleas Court and has been re-elected twice to that
position.
