Owen’s Place, a universally
designed recreation area where people
with and without
disabilities can enjoy each other’s company on a level
playing field. It will
have a playground area with
sensory gardens as well as accessible surface and
equipment;
a tree house area that will be fully ramped
and 2 accessible baseball diamonds where both
adults and
children can play. This will enable children in
wheelchairs access to play and
also their parents or
grandparents who might be using mobility devices the
opportunity to
take those children to the park.
