Those who wish to apply for VA benefits or entitlements may call or come into the office Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Often it is necessary to first call and speak with a service officer to ensure all proper documentation is available at the time VA claims are filed.  Claims are filed by appointment.

If you recently retired or were discharged or separated from military service call our office.  You may be eligible for VA or other benefits or entitlements.

For more information regarding VA benefits go to the Department of Veterans Affairs website.

If you reside in another Ohio county please contact the County Veterans Service Office within your county for assistance. (Visit our Helpful Links page for other counties)

GOALS:

Our goals are to ensure the veterans and their dependants of Greene County receive all of the VA benefits in which they are entitled.

Currently claims filed with the Department of Veterans Affairs’ amounts to federal benefits totaling to $33,174,000 to the 16,692 veterans in Greene County for compensation, non-service compensation (pension), voc rehab, insurance and health care.

With advanced training our goal is to have accredited State and National Service Officers providing a higher level of service to the veterans of Greene County. This training will enable the service officer to fully develop and presented claims before the Department of Veterans’ Affairs for Veterans and their Dependents when applying for the following Federal Benefits:

Eligibility for most federal benefits are based upon discharge from active military service under other than dishonorable conditions.
