Dear Luwanna,
Thank you for your membership in the International Association of
Assessing Officers (IAAO) and your continued support of the
organization. Your membership represents your commitment to
professionalism in the field of property assessment.
Those in the assessment profession frequently face the challenge of
defending their work. The best defense is the professionalism and
knowledge of those who conduct the work and the absolute dedication
of IAAO members to fairness and equity. This dedication is evidenced
by your continued involvement with IAAO.
For well over half a century the International Association of
Assessing Officers has served as the premier organization for
professionals engaged in property assessment and administration, and
property tax policy. The IAAO has established the highest
professional standards for the education and ethical conduct of its

Continuing Education Award

Luwanna A. Delaney is a recipient of the "Distinguished County
Auditor" award, presented by the County Auditor's Association of
Ohio (CAAO). The award recognizes County Auditors who have completed 100
or more hours of continuing education during their term of office. Ms.
Delaney received an engraved clock and pen set from outgoing CAAO
President Jude Hammond, Erie County Auditor, during the 2004 CAAO Winter
Conference in November. In recognizing this achievement, the CAAO notes
that when you consider the time commitments on County Auditors in
general, it is truly an accomplishment for a County Auditor to have over
100 hours of credit.
Section
319.04 of the Ohio Revised Code requires County Auditors to complete at
least 24 hours of continuing education during their term of office. Ms.
Delaney obtained her training in topics such as Abstract Reporting
Issues, Financial Reporting, and two mandatory classes in ethics and
substance abuse.

was awarded the 2002 Achievement Award on behalf of the
Senate of the 125th General Assembly.
Signed by
Senate President Doug White, Greene County Auditor was recognized for her combined
civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a
dynamic member of the community.
She is also
the recipient of the 2002 International Association of Officers Public
Information Award for displaying an unwavering dedication to excellence
and distinguishing herself as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan.

The International
Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) is an educational and
research association of individuals in the assessment profession and
others with an interest in property taxation. Membership is open to
anyone, and includes individuals working in government, private
industry, academia and members of the general public.
On Monday, October 14,
2002 at the IAAO Annual Conference in Los Angeles, California, Greene
County was recognized in an awards ceremony for it's Public
Information Program. |
