Geographic information system a success

We would like to commend Greene County Auditor and her staff for the fine job they have done in the recent implementation of the Greene County Geographic Information System (GIS) Public Access System.

As real estate and auction professionals in the county, we have noted a significant improvement in the ease with which we may access maps, tax information and other related records both at the auditor's office and via the Internet.

We have also heard comments both directly and indirectly form individuals outside Greene County that our system is the benchmark for counties throughout the state of Ohio and beyond.

It is refreshing not only to see our tax dollars spent on such a welcome addition to the county's record keeping and access systems, but also to see that the Greene County Auditor's office is leading the way in the implementation of such a system.
