Alan G. Anderson is an attorney
in Xenia, Ohio. He has represented numerous municipalities. He was the
Village solicitor for the villages of Clifton, Jamestown, Spring
Valley and Yellow Springs as well as the Law Director for Beavercreek
Township. Alan is in his second term as Greene County Commissioner.
Alan graduated from Wright State
University in 1970 and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the
Ohio State University Law School in 1973. He practiced law in Columbus
until he returned to Xenia in 1977. Alan is in the private practice of
law with David L. Phipps at the law firm of Wead, Anderson, Phipps
& Aultman LLC.
Alan lives in Caesarscreek
Township with wife, Kathleen. They have three children, Sam, Jim and
Abbie, daughter-in-law, Olivia and three grandchildren, Jack, Jenny
and Eli. He grew up on a
farm in Xenia township and continues to do some part time farming.
Alan has been an adjunct
professor of business law at Central State University, served on the
Greene County Public Defender’s Board of Directors for over twenty
years, and was a member of the Greene County Building Code Appeals
Board from its inception, until his election to the Greene County
Board of Commissioners. Alan is a co-founder and past president of
the Christian Men’s Fellowship of Greene County.
