We provide an array of services for families and children involved in the Domestic Relations, Juvenile, and Probate Courts.  Our services include mediation, home investigations, conciliation hearings, adult guardianship, and responding to visitation questions and complaints.

MEDIATION Our mediation program is designed to assist never married or divorcing parents in reaching a mutually acceptable agreement regarding the future care of their children. More Information
HOME INVESTIGATION In certain high-conflict child custody disputes, a Judge or Magistrate utilizes our department to conduct background investigations on litigants.  Such information assists a Judge or Magistrate in making a more fully informed decision regarding the best interests of the children at issue.   More Information
CONCILIATION HEARINGS These informal hearings, conducted at Family & Children First, are designed to give couples in the process of a divorce a ninety-day “cooling off” period to explore the possibility of reconciling their marriage.  More Information
ADULT GUARDIANSHIP Family & Children First provides, on a limited basis, adult guardianship services through the Greene County Probate Court.  At this time, we are not accepting any new cases.
VISITATION Are you a divorced or never married parent who has questions or concerns regarding court-ordered visitation?  Our office assists parents with visitation questions and makes referrals to appropriate departments or agencies.  Please be advised that our office does not provide legal advice or legal services of any kind.  Contact your attorney regarding specific procedures for modifying visitation.
