Ginger Smith is the
current Parent Support Coordinator for Family & Children First. A
long-time resident of Greene County, Ginger spent many years volunteering in
the Greene County City Schools where she focused on tutoring students with
Specific Learning Disabilities. She also spent three years in Florida
where she worked as a substitute teacher in classrooms with varying
exceptionalities. After receiving a B.A. degree in Human Development
from Antioch University McGregor, Ginger worked in the area of child welfare
where she developed a deep compassion for the parents involved in the cases.
Ginger is very passionate about parenting and has 25 years experience with
her two sons—complete with the mountains and valleys. Ginger combines
a variety of curricula and attempts to engage students
with group activities, lively discussion and, of course, humor.
