Residential Curbside Recycling

Currently, some communities in Greene County contract with a solid waste hauler to provide curbside recycling service to its' residents.  For those residents recycling is as easy as placing recyclable items together in a container.

Please contact your local jurisdiction for information on your solid waste hauler and/or to request a curbside recycling container.  This simple easy way to recycle will help save landfill space, energy, and natural resources.

If I do not have Curbside Service, where do I Recycle...

Environmental Services drop-off Recycling Center accepts, cardboard, # 1and 2 plastics, glass bottles and jars, metal cans, paper, magazines, phone books, soft cover books, newspaper, rechargeable batteries, lead acid batteries, and household alkaline batteries.  Environmental Services also accepts cellular phones and mercury during normal hours of operation.  Mercury must be double bagged in zip-lock type plastic bags.

 Monday  7:30 am - 6:00 pm
 Tuesday  7:30 am - 6:00 pm
 Wednesday  7:30 am - 6:00 pm
 Thursday  7:30 am - 6:00 pm
 Friday  7:30 am - 4:30 pm
 Saturday  9:00 am - 4:00 pm
 Sunday  Closed

Please arrive on site 15 minutes prior to closing to allow adequate time to unload your recyclables.

Special Monthly Collection Events
Environmental Services Special Monthly Collection Events are normally held the second Saturday of each month.  At these drop-off collection events Environmental Services Department collects and recycles unusual and hard to recycle items such as household hazardous waste, small and large household appliances, and scrap metal.
