Creekside Trail from Towler Rd in Xenia to Market St in Xenia will be closed August 31 - September 1.

Many schools have students complete a leaf collection project at this time of year. Join this naturalist led hike to learn more about the autumn colors and for help identifying trees and leaves. FREE.

Toads 'n Tadpoles
Friday, September 10, 7 pm - 9:30 pm, Narrows Reserve Nature Center, 2575 Indian Ripple Rd., Beavercreek
Kids can have an evening out without Mom and Dad playing games, taking a night hike and enjoy a snack. Toads (ages 7-12) is full however there are still openings for Tadpoles (ages 4-6). Pre-registration required and costs $10 for Greene County residents, $15 for non-residents.
Night Riders
Saturday, September 11, 7 pm, Xenia Station, 150 Miami Ave., Xenia
Enjoy an evening ride along the Creekside Trail. We will begin our ride at Xenia Station and ride to Fifth Third Park in Beavercreek (appx 19 miles). Riders must be 18 or older, wear a helmet and have lights on their bikes. FREE.
Volunteer Naturalist Training
Monday, September 13, 9 am - noon, meet at Walton Park, corner of Main St. & Elm St., Spring Valley
This training session is open to anyone interested in becoming a volunteer and current volunteers. We will hike the Travertine Fen so be sure to wear old shoes or boots. Just give us a call at 937-562-7440 if you plan on attending. FREE.
Nestlings - Caterpillars

Preschoolers (2 1/2 - 4 yrs old) and their adult companions are invited to the Narrows Reserve Nature Center to learn about caterpillars through a hike and story. Pre-registration is required and costs $3 for Greene County residents and $5 for non-residents.
Nature Nuts - Alphabet Soup
Wednesday, September 15, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm, Narrows Reserve Nature Center, 2575 Indian Ripple Rd., Beavercreek
This class will open children's (4 1/2 - 6 yrs old) eyes to nature as they hike, hear a story and explore with a naturalist. Pre-registration is required and costs $3 for Greene County residents and $5 for non-residents.
