Keeping Your Parks Clean & Visitor Friendly

  • 11 full time maintenance employees take care of:

    -39 park sites
    -25 county sites
    -5 bike trails (over 60 miles)
    -A total of over 2,400 acres

  • Areas maintained include the following:

    Greene County Courthouse & other downtown facilities

    Scout Burnell-Garbrecht Dog Park

    The Greene County Pools

    Stocked lakes

    Shelters and The Lodge at Clifton Reserve

    The Narrows Reserve Nature Center

    Hiking Trails

    Tennis courts, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, ball fields, soccer fields and a sand volleyball court

    Equestrian facilities

    River accesses

    Land management issues and invasive plant control

    Building maintenance

    Lawn and landscape beds

    Snow removal not only for Greene County Parks, but also for many other county facilities

    We take pride in the fact that our maintenance division does almost all of their own construction projects. A few examples include:

    Replacement of 700' of boardwalk through a wetland

    Building bridges, dressage rings, horse stalls, judges stand, Aviary facility, and pole barns
