Grant Funded Watershed
Restoration Projects

As recommended by Ohio EPA in the Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) Report for the Upper Little Miami River Watershed, the Greene County Sanitary Engineering Department has been actively pursuing grant funding for stream and wetland restoration in the Upper Little Miami River watershed in order to improve the water quality of local streams. Since 2006, Greene County has received nearly $2.5 million in grant funding for three projects located in the North Fork Massies Creek watershed in northeast Greene County. Funding for these projects has come from grants from the Ohio EPA Water Resource Restoration Sponsor Program (WRRSP) and the Ohio EPA Section 319(h) Nonpoint Source Program.  Please click on the links below for current information on each of these projects.
